About the Bardoli Global Scholars Program

The Bardoli Global Scholars program is a 2-year, two summer global leadership experience for high potential students of color in grades 10-12 and is endorsed by the National Center for Global Engagement. The program engages BG Scholars to make the critical “global/local” connection between their own communities and the rest of the world. Through a rigorous selection process a cohort of High School Scholars are elected from partner high schools throughout a given metropolitan region.  During Summer I, Scholars and their school’s Teacher Leader attend an intensive Pre-Departure Institute followed by study abroad in over 30 traditional and non-traditional country destinations across the world. The cohort then undertakes a social entrepreneurship project to impact their local community and learn vital teamwork and management skills during our Global Leadership Academy. The program culminates with an internationally oriented Summer II internship for students in a nonprofit, corporate or government agency.
